Problem

In 2016, Russia was to adopt the Federal Law on Telemedicine. As part of the implementation of this law, the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation initiated a program to create federal telemedicine centers based on specialized National Medical Research Centers. These centers have long been federal centers of competence in their nosology. And now they were to become permanent remote assistants and consultants of regional health systems thanks to information and communication technologies.

National Medical Research Center for Traumatology named after N. N. Priorov was supposed to create a federal telemedicine center for traumatology and orthopedics on its basis as soon as possible, considering all the requirements for the security of medical data.

Solution

SmartMed won the Customer's tender. This was the second federal NMRC, which entrusted the creation of its telemedicine center to our team. We have offered a proven solution, including:

All work was carried out in a short time and allowed the Customer to conduct telemedicine consultations in accordance with the Federal Program.


Result

As a result of the implementation of this project, the first telemedicine center with specialization in the field of traumatology and orthopedics was created in Russia. Now citizens from the regions did not have to go to Moscow for a consultation, but it became possible to get advice from the best doctors in Russia right at their regional hospital. Considering the complexity of transportation and independent movement of most patients with this illness, this allowed regional budgets and citizens to significantly reduce the costs and time of medical care.
